No one is getting 1200 plus whatever state gives. You've been seriously misled if you believe that.

If any state that has benefits of $600+, they could. Like NJ or Connecticut has high UI benefits. This has the max amounts including PUC.

But you were probably making that much working, right? To get max NY numbers you'd have to have been.

I mean if you make over $53K or so in NY you qualify for the max benefits. I was making more than that and it was similar to my net pay (but then I had health insurance, 401K contributions, transit benefits, FICA deducted first).
