Even within dungeons, there are plenty of points that effectively act as checkpoints in that you don't lose that progress on resetting (namely getting major items), so you don't even have to rush through them in a single cycle if you aren't up to the task. Even after I beat the game, I've read through the guides. It says that you could/should reset after opening the dungeon and getting the closest owl statue. That way, you have a full three slow days to complete it. And would tell you to put all you money in the bank before resetting. And to get to the world back to normal, you could beat the boss again and stuff.
