No S*** Sherlock. Youre about 10 years too late.

To be fair, this is the first proper release Xenoblade has had in North America. The original release came very late in the Wii's lifespan (~7 months before the WiiU came out), well after most people (consumers and publishers alike) had given up on it having any more worthwhile games, and being a Gamestop-exclusive release meant supplies were very limited and anyone who didn't hop on the bandwagon almost immediately had no recourse but to buy a used copy for twice what games normally cost (Gamestop later did what seemed like a second print run that they called "used copies" to allow them to sell them for $90, which was better than $120+, but still a lot). It was ported to the 3DS, but it was one of a tiny handful of New 3DS exclusives, so only people who bought a New 3DS could experience it that way. While I'm sure both of them had a great time with it, that was still a very limited release. And then it got silently added to the WiiU's virtual console long after everyone stopped paying attention to the WiiU, so barely anyone even knew about that.

This release, however, comes in the Switch's prime, on a system that's been very successful even among the core gamer audience that Xenoblade appeals to, with a reasonable amount of promotion, and with no appreciable supply constraints (even without considering the digital option). For a lot of people, this genuinely is their first real chance to play the game, which is a real shame because it's a masterpiece that has been hobbled by NoA's refusal to let it be successful.
