The Michigan rapper who shot a viral video of his brother slugging a white man inside a Macys department store spoke out for the first time Saturday, telling The Post they clearly heard the man call them the N-word.

FT Quay said his brother acted on instinct and that his violent reaction was spur of the moment.

And, yes, we made a petty joke and asked the guy was the shirt too little when he couldve asked me. He was just being funny, Quay said. And just the fact of the remark that he said that we all heard. We are deeply saddened about the incident that took place on Monday as Macys Genessee Valley, as the safety of Macys customer and colleagues is our top priority, a Macys spokesperson told the outlet. Violence in the workplace of any kind is unacceptable. All the materials from the evening have been reviewed and it is clear that the attack was unprovoked.

I wonder if this is enough to keep him from being charged
