Do you think businesses should warn the public if one of its employees caught the virus?

The Sunshine State is mandating that Restaurants are under NO OBLIGATION to let the public know when they have been exposed its employees with COVID-19 despite a record number of new infections sweeping the state!!

Florida is continuing to plow ahead with reopening despite a surge in new cases as it does not require restaurants to inform customers of any outbreaks it has among its staff because it's not classed as a food related outbreak

While it tracks outbreaks of illnesses such as Hepatitis A and norovirus in restaurants where they must inform the public, it doesn't have to track cases of coronavirus

Customers of infected workers are also not classed as their close contracts under the state's contract tracing efforts and doesn't even require them to wear masks while serving customers food and offers limited guidance over what steps they should do if employees are ever infected

The shocking revelations come as the state has seen a surge in cases with over 80,000 infected and nearly 3000 deaths

The CDC encourages restaurants to notify customers of any outbreak among staff but Governor Ron DeSantis has not mandated such measure because they say there's no evidence it can pass through food

Even though the virus is mostly spread through respiratory droplets when people talk, cough or sneeze, the CDC warns it can spread through contaminated surfaces.

The only thing that is ordered is if a worker is sick that they must be separated from other employees, customers and visitors or sent home

Fears that restaurants are staying silent over outbreaks is sparking concern among locals such as Steve DiOrio who says a number of restaurants have shuttered because of mysterious circumstances and it wasn't until he learned that one, New York Pizza and Pasta closed was because multiple employees had tested positive as sanitation crews onsite were seen clearing out the place

The reason for businesses not having to warn customers of any outbreaks because it it could potentially damage the business as the Governor says would be "unfair" to punish the business owners for it.

Do you think restaurants should be allowed to keep quiet if it's employees have COVID-19?
