Do you think it should be an arrestable offense to call someone a racist online?

21 y/o Kaleigh Schmidt from Mississippi went to jail for a day after she wrote on facebook that her parents were RACIST which lead to thousands of DEATH THREATS against them!!

She was freed after 24 hours in the time out chair as the Hattiesburg girl was charged with 2 counts of obscene communication

She posted a series of screenshots on Facebook showing her father and stepmother using racial slurs and sent messages to Antifa and BLM social pages along with her parents address, phone numbers and pictures of them

In one of the messages written by her dad telling her mother Schmidt was partying with n-word. If you want us to keep helping, i can't see that s*** no more. I'm blown away n-word"

She responded by texting "Don't call them that. It doesn't matter if they are black or white they are all down to earth people and i've been friends with them ever since i've been in Hattiesburg. They were there for me when yall weren't"

She also replied to comments her father texted to her about the death of George Floyd when she wrote that Officer Derek Chauvin was NOT doing his job and what he did was MURDER. She continued writing her father was F***** in the head after stating he believed Chauvin was doing the right thing before Floyd died.

Kaleigh said she was taking a stand with the black community and was unfazed by her parents threats to no longer speak to her and blocked her on social media

She wrote "Yall may be blood but they are family to me. And i'm fine with getting my own insurance. And if you keep getting ugly and spreading racist s***, i'll blast yal on facebook insta etc.. and let the world give yall a taste of how it feels. If yall are Christians like yall claim yall will love everyone equally but yall don't yall are hypocrites"

It continues with her writing "I know all lives matter, the difference is that we as white people were NEVER oppressed"

Her father responded with "And not a single person alive has been oppressed that was wayyyyyy before all of our time u goofball"

She shared the messages hoping her parents go "viral" but the post was quickly shared by thousands and her father and stepmother were getting hateful messages and threats

She also said her stepmother BEAT her for their falling out while her dad watched and called her a n-word loving w*****".

The fallout ended with her being arrested for a day when her parents called it in on her and was released by a judge who dropped all charges.

Justice Carlos Moore said "She spent a day in jail for simply excercising her First Amendment right on facebook. Now, we are prepared to fight for her in the civil arena because someone maliciously prosecuted her and she was falsely arrested and was falsely imprisoned and we want to get justice fo her"

She went back to facebook insisting what her parents did was wrong but does not condone violence towards them either and is asking people to stop the threats adding they can't win the fight with violence

Do you think it should be an arrestable offense to call someone a RACIST online?.
