Its usually brought up by people who for some reason defend blackface as a "THIS COULDN'T HAPPEN TODAY HURR" type of thing....It can and does. Context is important. Same with Blazing Saddles. It's on Hulu, and is one of the most popular movies on it. People still know the difference between satire making fun of racists and actual racist depictions.
