Sometimes, a character, despite great acting and writing, is positioned in such a way as to be absolutely unendurable, and that's both of the leads. It's strange to think, I guess, because Winslet and Carrey are such talented actors, but the roles they play just irk to no end. That said, the concept is great, the script is great, the presentation couldn't be better. It's a high concept piece executed as well as could be.
