Focusing heavily on political talking points that get people's panties in a twist helps nobody except a politician and does nothing except deflect to a side issue, whereas focusing on real events and real solutions has a major impact. This is why social democracy is so popular today, it incorporates most of these needed changes. Is it perfect? No. I doubt its an education gap. Straight from the horses mouth, I read DSA members complaining that their political movement has been gentrified. It was actually from reading comments about Chapo Trap Houses brand of political commentary. Theyre ardent Bernie supporters and vowed to not vote for Biden in the general. Being white and wealthy, thats an easy choice for them to make. And thats now the huge bulk of DSA support, privileged white cynics, where people were saying that groups had been black and LGBT dominated beforehand. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
