of course it is, otherwise the title would have been "covid has nothing to do with ethnicity and everything to do with obesity and other health conditions"

Why not both? As well as other factors? They're still studying this virus. All this article is doing is relaying some of the findings. It's not the be-all and end-all on the Covid situation.

The article isn't stating that covid is only affecting minorities... It even points out minority groups aren't the worst off, that people of advanced age are the most adversely affected. The article is only stating minority groups are facing steeper difficulties coping with the virus than some other sections of the population. That's it. I take it as a message to minority groups and the medical personnel treating them that they may want to take extra steps to ensure their health and well-being. Not sure why you're unable to grasp that notion.

It even goes so far as to say "Don't jump to conclusions here!" - meaning there's still a lot of data to collect and process. Meaning "Hey, this is the data set we have right now, but as we continue to study this, our findings may change."

Now, you may ask "Why report on it if the research is ongoing?" and the reason for that is if these findings hold up in the long run, the sooner people act on them the better. Could save lives. Not only minority lives but the lives of those in direct or indirect contact with them. There's no harm in reporting these findings prematurely if the information will help those affected.

This must be what happens to a brain that puts all their faith in singular sources with clear biases. Your flawed logic seems to be "well, if I can't completely escape bias in the media, I may as well consume the stuff that reinforces my ideology and worldview" Instead of trying to collect as much information as you can from multiple sources and filter it yourself, you'd rather be spoonfed borderline propaganda because it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. And you're so sensitive over your precious dailywire that you're lashing out like an angry toddler, trying and failing to discredit more legitimate news agencies because you can find a couple examples of bias in their reporting. Bias which I've acknowledged and the media bias trackers I shared with you acknowledge. Bias which I've attempted to explain that one should do their due diligence in acquiring what factual information they can and check that information against other sources. That's what a mature, responsible consumer of news would do. But you do you. Keep your head buried in the tabloid sand.
