In the case of people with kids, it's because they're subconsciously miserable, they refuse to acknowledge it because society says hating that you have kids is wrong, but it's there, they hate that they have to watch over some screaming little primate that does nothing but eat, shit, and inevitably destroy everything you own, and because of that they can't do anything. Now, since they can't get rid of the screaming pain in the ass, that would be everything from illegal to socially stigmatizing, they decide the best way to handle it is to talk about how fucking great it is and how it's their life's purpose and convince everyone around them to have kids, that way all their friends are just as miserable as them, and they can get together, take turns having each others homes destroyed by a screaming, filthy horde, and drink, all while pretending they wish they'd never had sex in their lives. --- let's lubricate friction material! ~nickels, Cars & Trucks ...
