Even with just one job, having 2.5k or more hp by the time you reach where you're at is easily achieved, and the buffs to each jobs license board makes it so you actually have everyone be competent in any role. It's not limiting at all. Hell, the original was more limiting in that everyone had the same equip options... And not enough copies to go around. One genji set, etc. At least in the zodiac age where you can use any 2 jobs, it makes it so you then can optimize so each of the 3 party members you front line with have really great synergy in skill and equipment combinations without fear of overlap.
