So, 16 is the age of consent in my state. I had a buddy in college who, at 20 years old, got his 16 year old girlfriend pregnant. Again, completely legal in my state. At the time, everyone thought it was a bit weird and irresponsible, but not criminal.

I mentioned the situation to a friend when the subject of AoC came up and, hoo boy, the way she reacted, you'd think the dude was some creepy, scheming pedo.

I'm not sure how to view it. My college buddy was legitimately pretty immature for his age. The whole situation seemed a bit... calculated on the girl's part. Also, weirdly, if the whole relationship was roughly an hour's drive North, he would have gone to jail/had to register. Something being legal doesn't necessarily make it right, but strict legal parameters don't allow for nuance.

Ok. 16 is also legal in my country and I don't support it. But do you apply the same logic to people who are 21 or more?
