As a kid, I was raised as a Christian Republican. Im a legal immigrant (now U.S. citizen) from South Korea.
In Jr. high and high school, I drank the kool aid and became a Democrat. I thought Democrats were for equality for all minorities and for free speech.
Around my senior year of high school, I did some research/investigating and learned that Asians are actually discriminated against under affirmative action simply for being Asian. I also started to notice that a lot of liberals didnt want me to talk about these things and actively tried brush this aside.
Then I saw how Democrats treated Ralph Nader (who has accomplished a million times as much as Bernie Sanders who I consider a huckster and a fraud). I became a third party supporter who voted de anyone who wasnt a republican or a democrat.
Then Donald Trump announced his candidacy. It was such a breath of fresh air to hear a major party candidate call out illegal immigration. I was sold. I would go on to vote for Trump.
After Trump was elected, he called out Harvard and the racism against Asian Americans under affirmative action. Thats when I became a Trump supporter for life.
Next you'll be telling us the story of how you were indoctrinated into the KKK
