I spoke about it a few times to friends and I think mentioned it once on Discord.

Basically it started kinda benign but got worse. I greeted him and sometimes asked how he was doing and he'd go "better now that you're here." Then if I ever shook his hand he'd pull me in way too close where we were almost face to face. Then he started hugging me and asking me to come over to his place. The final few times he used to say "I love you" to me and that's when I asked him to stop. The problem was that everyone seemed to love this guy at work, as he had been there for almost 2 decades.

I'd like to chalk it up to being overly affectionate but when you start trying to invite me over and tell me that you love me, I'm not going to deal with that. I actively started changing the way I entered the building because I just didn't want to deal with it.

I talked to one coworker about it and she told me "oh yeah he's super gay." And I asked why me since I didn't see anyone else have it happen to them and she didn't really know. Otherwise I was afraid to go to any of my bosses for fear of becoming "that guy who got the super popular guy fired."
