If technically these guys were operating legally under citizen's arrest laws, and he was operating legally under a stand your ground law, what happens?The two couldn't be held true at the same time. If the group had been in accordance with the law and rightfully able to perform a citizens arrest, then the person trying to escape would not legally be allowed to defend themselves. If on the other hand the group was illegally detaining him, then as he'd have been protecting his rights, freedom, and it would be reasonably inferred that his life was in danger? He'd have been allowed to defend himself, in theory. In reality, he'd probably be charged with murdering them and be sentenced.
