Topic	How do you feel about endings like The Mist?

Family's like "shit", they think about it for a minute, finally decide they'll take whatever few things they have and carefully set out. Everything's clear for another minute or two then monsters start attacking, maybe tear up the son, dad gets a couple of shots off and then they get him, mom gets nicked (was she there? haven't seen it in a while) she's bleeding out of her jugular and saying she's so sorry and she loves the daughter and all that and just as the daughter's on the verge of fully breaking down that's when the military rolls in and saves everything.
