Personally, I think the game would be improved with crafting of some kind. You're constantly getting shit, and in some ways we are already basically crafting with the clothing upgrades. But I think it would be cool if weapons were more rare, but you could make your own when you were in a pinch.

But enemy variety is hopefully a big improvement. There are are a ton of Zelda enemies that didn't show up in this game, and tons of old bosses they can bring back/remix for big monsters in the sequel.

I believe it's been confirmed that the game takes place on the same map, which is pretty lame. But at the same time that might mean we get more meaningful content. Maybe some stuff to explore that's more fleshed out than shrines. Imagine multiple Hyrule Castle esque dungeons populating the map or something. Plus, I'm going to guess that the sequel will have a "dark world" or "world of the past" like LttP, TP, OoA, OoT, etc. But I shouldn't build expectations too high without knowing more details about the sequel.

There's a ton of room for improvements on the formula, and I'm very curious to see what they do. I really wish the game would get a definitive release date lol.

Those are great ideas, I'd love something like Hyrule Castle again with all the different ways you could enter it and all the secret passages, that was super cool. More castles is a plus, like maybe there's both a Hyrule Castle and even a Ganon castle?
