Was the DNC supposed to sit out while he was trying to incite a political revolution within their party? As it turns out, a successful overthrow of the status quo requires more than lip service from your fans, and a lot of people came out to vote for Biden while a lot of Bernie supporters stayed home. They could go off and try forming their own party, but the reality is that we're all stuck in the same prisoner's dilemma we see every election season. It's pretty rare we get a populist candidate that rises above that dynamic. Top of my head, you've just got Reagan, Clinton, and Obama. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
