Topic | Why Are Recent Final Fantasy Games Not Turn Based? |
Tyranthraxus 04/13/20 12:52:28 AM #29: | Rikiaz posted... I meant compared to Dragon Quest. Dragon Quest you always know what you're getting. Final Fantasy changes constantly. Dragon Quest doesn't change at all but I think people forget how FF has a really long history of being different. 1 - party of 4 from 6 jobs 2 - no jobs at all, no levels. Just skills that each have to be raised differently 3 - jobs that you can change any time you want 4 - everything is predetermined 5 - 3 but in ATB 6 - Like 2 again but with Levels as a baseline. Every character has a unique ability that further set them apart. There's also equipment restrictions 7 - blank slate jobless characters again where you have to raise individual skills except your skills are equipment and you can change them or re equip them on other characters. 8 - draw junction enemies have level ranges wtf lol 9 - basically it's FF4 again. 10 - weird summon system, otherwise nothing really new in this game 12 - RTWP combat and license board that otherwise means all characters are identical like FF2 13 - Don't do drugs kids 15 - full on ARPG --- It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha." https://imgur.com/dQgC4kv ...
