He was sabatoged by the democratic party already, and by ccntinuing to run, he would have directly been responsible for an unknown number of deaths (because people would go vote, and get infected and some of them will die). Just what happened in yesterdays election will probably result in some deaths:( So I really feel for the guy, but I don't think he could have won, and this was probably the most humane thing to do.
