It is illegal to prevent the people from not being able to assemble. I know noone wants to have that conversation because COVID-19, but I mean, there it is, plain as day, 1st amendment.

you're ignoring the fact that the supreme court has ruled, time and again, that it is not an absolute right. that the federal/state/local government has the right to limit gatherings as long as its done neutrally, with no bias towards a specific group of people.
