In your example, where you offer $300k for a $350k house, that to me as a hypothetical seller makes me think that the you're ceiling is probably well below my floor. So why should a seller waste time with an offer that they view insultingingly low, especially if someone else gives them a $340k offer instead? --- Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less. ...
