A local theater was showing movies from the Heartland Film Festival and it happened to be one of them. The program was scheduled before it won the Oscar for Best Picture. It's ascension to Best Picture status did insure though that the movie was a sellout.

First off, it was a really good movie. It's shades of Quentin Tarantino and Alfred Hitchcock and it has a wicked sense of humor that is not lost in translation. Second, Joker was head and shoulders above this movie. I'm not trying to be negative. I just had to throw that out there. That's okay though. It was still a fun experience getting to see the current Best Picture winner in a theater. It's like getting to ride a new ride at a theme park. And I don't begrudge it winning like I do certain other "Best" Pictures.

I also saw We Shall Not Die Now. 10/10 documentary. Highly, highly recommended. As for Parasite, if you haven't already, do see it if and when you get the chance. It's a fun and engaging movie experience.
