Fair Use would almost apply, with DMCA treating the very thin encryption as the legal brick wall getting in the way.

I'd say 90%+ of newer stuff is all comfortably on Vudu. But yeah it isn't everything new/older stuff.

Best I can tell I could legally rip my own media and put it on a server but owning the physical media but then acquiring the digital copy through other means would still be illegal.
