I think it's a huge weight off your shoulders. You don't have to agonize over whether or not she likes you, and you stop trying to impress her or get her to notice you or whatever. It puts a stop to all the "fantasies" in your head about where your relationship might go since she effectively slams the door shut on it.

It's a good thing, because it allows you to 100% fully move on without having to wonder what might have been.
