Good thing it wasn't up to the actors then. I'm sure they would have rather had steady work making the project work right. And tbh, even if the next books came out, that doesn't mean they should have been rushing passed everything from the two books before that like they did.

They essentially didn't even adapt the last too books aside from like 3 or 4 scenes. They just didn't do almost everything that happens in those two because they didn't like those books.
Let me know how well your show works out when you have to recast major characters because the actors aren't interested in sticking around for that long.

To your second point it's more like they didn't adapt those two books because they were full of plot threads that either went absolutely nowhere or left no idea how they might be resolved in the scope of the larger plot. I'm not saying David and Dan weren't bad at coming up with their own material once they ran out of book stuff to adapt, they were. You however seem to equally clueless.

What is clueless about it? You really think the actors would have gotten upset and left if they decided to give them a high prestige high paying job for some extra years?

And considering the plot threads we did go through on the show ended up going no where, they could have at least gave enough of a shit to try and adapt what they had.

I really loved where Sansa and her story were going in the books. And actually what happens in the end makes total sense with how the show ends. Too bad they decided to say fuck Sansa and fuck the books and just made her a rape toy for no reason.
