Self-driving cars will never just happen. Trial and error is required. We are in the early stages of autopilot driving but you have to treat it as more of an assistant than a true self-driving mode (because it's not that). The only way to make it better is by testing it in real-life situations. The problem with that is they labeled it "auto-pilot" , which is clearly not the case.
