pretty small, about 1600sq ft, but it's 2 floors + a basement

Right, so are their areas you want to spend the money to fix? A good router is cheaper and if you have multiple ethernet you can always buy a new router for your primary and stick your current router in an area with weaker coverage
yea i guess id probably have to check coverage in the house + if there is actually ethernet in the rooms before i go and buy anything. i just figured mesh would be an easier + more elegant solution
