With that said I cant see too many games making it from this last year anyway. RE2 and Three Houses should get in and do very well, but beyond that I think the games need more time. It was a very good year for original games but those games generally need longer to make their mark. In a future contest I can see say, Disco Elysium doing very well, but not this time. I definitely dont think its like last time where the proxy for the previous decade wins it all. From polls it seems that GameFAQs regards the 00s and the 10s fairly similarly so that aspect of it shouldnt be an issue. In fact in terms of strength Id say 2015-2019 probably beats 2010-2014.
