But if I may ask, do you think this is probably why they passed you up? They knew you had this kind of reaction in you or your loyalty wasn't very strong after all?

I'd agree if I wasn't the type of person who busted my ass, worked extra and sometimes unpaid hours, covered for others mistakes and literally did more in sales than all but one person in my department.

Everyone in my department, including my direct supervisor, vouched for me to get this position. Even people in other departments said I should get it.

I know exactly why I didn't get it, though. Because they had hoped they could get the same work as I'm currently doing which was basically above and beyond my current position, and they probably thought that since I've only been there 9 months they could just string me along with promises that with more experience I'll get it down the road.

Except they did the exact same thing with my coworker who now said "fuck it" and went back to school.
