It's impossible to be a public accountant without a degree, particularly an accounting one, so no. I don't regret it.

Yes, bless the accounting industry. Such a nicely regulated and controlled facet of business. We love it. If only all industries had a FASB to set the standards.

Yeah, I wish I wouldve waited or did an enlistment in Air Force or navy first so I couldve matured better, but theres nothing I can do about it now.

Oh God, avoiding enlistment was one of the best things you could have done. I don't know a single person who was glad they went. Folks don't come out of those with anything but wasted time and a lack of skills...it's like pushing the pause button on your development and yet you're still aging. So, you get out and, at 26, you're still at the same place everyone else in terms of skills as they were when at 20. Almost all of them still had to go back to school to get a few more years of credits.

And that "maturity" thing is a natural effect of you getting older...not the army making you better. No one lies more about "teaching you job skills" than the armed forces...yeah, they'll teach you to have skills for a job...in the armed forces. Just not anywhere in the outside world.
