Some of the people there even say they are there for networking. Or meeting friends. Especially on certain apps and sites. Ive made plenty of friends to talk to on those sites. Some which Ive never met in person. And some Ive met, but havent done anything with. And not all bars and clubs are for matchmaking. But some definitely are. Even if its not what the main purpose was suppose to be. In the end, I never said you couldnt go. But if youre serious about finding a hook-up (and possibly a relationship in the future), the sites much better than a bar or club. Especially when the reasoning on why you want to go there is weak... Though, going to the bar/club does make it sound like youre lacking confidence. Mainly because the only real difference is that youll be there with you friend. And that you seem to need his help... Bit maybe not.
