I saw the movie and

I liked it, but I did see some problems. I think it moved extremely fast, like they just cut out things. The permanent losses didn't feel that meaningful when they happened either. They did a thing too where they would say or allude to something and only a few minutes (maybe like 20 or something) later they would instantly resolve that little beat in the story. Like when Chewie "dies", Rey not taking Lukes saber... and then taking it just a couple of scenes later, "never underestimate a droid", etc. Like, the movie didn't let things stew... which is where I think the feeling of it just moving from point to point as fast as possible comes in.

The call backs to some of the original characters and such were nice. I liked how each of them had something to "give" to the new members. I also think the whole Rey and Kylo reaching across space by their connection to literally physically help each other was pretty cool. I'm not a huge fan though of like Kylo using force healing (or force exchange idk what it was exactly), that's a pretty heavy light side ability and even if he was reformed, I'd think he would find using it pretty difficult. I understand why they did it from a narrative standpoint, but it might be something that makes big lore fans annoyed.
