If your trying to argue based on impact on gaming over the decade its without question team fortress 2 going free to play and creating lootboxes in mainstream games. This became the plague that dominated every genre for the decade to the point we praise a game for not having exploitative gambling mechanics that prey on children. But valve fanbois get really angry when you talk about how valve does everything they hate in gaming...except when valve does it.
