| iPhone_7 12/13/19 9:55:55 AM #10: | Nationalism is on the rise around the world. Its like a pushback against the globalization thats been happening for decades. Several factors that contribute to the anxieties of the masses. Increases in immigration, Job losses due to automation but blamed on immigration. Massive economic & generational cultural changes due to the tech boom. And then you gotta look into those factors to find more factors, immigration for example. Climate Change has lead to droughts, food shortages, refugees, & conflicts that then cause more refugees to immigrate to other countries. All those backsliding democracies is because of people wanting to go back to the good ol days. They blame foreigners & other countries for the state of their own lives & country. Maybe Brexit is a good thing in the long term. Other EU member countries are increasingly becoming conservative and some like Poland & Hungary are becoming authoritarian.
