Society and our minds have evolved since, but our biology hasn't. This is not a "ogogog ur anti-womyn! teh sexist!" moment, men also have remnants of their cavemen biology, e.g. bullying, aggression and stubborness are bad traits now, but men still have them because well, we're still cavemen at a biological level. That's also why men want young, fertile women.

We're all monkeys with keys basically :)

Then scientists find out cavemen were perfect gentleman making your theory false.
