I've said this before, but being bad at video games isn't a bad thing, hell, it could even be a unique selling point. The point isn't that Phil is bad at games, or even average. It is the way he behaves WHILE being bad/average.

Last night, during the CoD stream he took it upon himself to wish unemployment on the devs of the game, for his lack of competence. It is never "his fault". It's always dropped inputs, lag, bad coding, the fault of the devs, but never EVER, is it due to his own lack of skill. This is why people make a deal out of it. If he'd just go "oh, I fucked up", or "now I know, and will do better next time", then you wouldn't hear anyone say anything about Phil being bad/average. The problem is his excuses WHILE being bad/average.

But that is not all. But Phil's own admission (so this isn't some made up bullshit), he is and I quote: "One of the best overall gamers in the country", and he can "Pick up a controller and play any game at a professional level". And to then hear him about all kinds of excuses just seems pathetic after such claims.

The problem isn't that the games are hard, we all struggle with certain games or certain sections within those games. That's completely normal, and that is not the reason Phil is getting flak. Phil gets flak because it is never his fault, lack of skill (or it is simply the dev's fault) while claiming to be so good at said games.
