If your film isn't the likes of Seven Samurai, Ben Hur, or Schindler's List, it doesn't need to be more than three fucking hours long. That length is not for capes, apes, robots, or fist-fights. Popcorn movies should be around the two hour mark. Give it a break. At least go the Kill Bill route and split it into two movies. --- It's Christmas at ground zero. Now the missiles are on their way.
