My own boss at work, when she was in her late teens, was with this guy who was extremely controlling (not letting her go anywhere without him, monitoring all her communication) and she was unhappy, yet she stayed with him for 5 years. These guys appear great in some respects but treat the women poorly and then apologize for their behavior, yet start behaving that way again. To some extent, they feel worried about leaving the guy, in terms of the guy trying to harm them. There's a variety of factors surrounding why they stay with these guys but I don't think it is productive to say that they can always simply leave. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
