How many conservative governors are in prison at this point?

About as many as were caught trying to bang dudes in public stalls ten years ago.

So basically... a lot.

List of convicted governors, 6 Democrats vs 8 Republicans

One of the Democrats who was convicted but faced no jail time was a man who engineered 3 million dollars in fraudulent loans yet escaped prison in part due to liver illness.

Of the more interesting crimes on the list, you have the infamous Robby B who tried to sell Obama's old senate seat to the highest bidder, a Louisiana governor (Democrat, if you're counting) who took 3 million in bribes/extortion related to casinos (go big or go home), a North Carolina governor (also Democrat, if you really care) who -- in addition to working shady real estate deals (bribes) and taking tons of gifts -- used his position to create a job for his wife at a university, and a South Dakota governor (Republican) who shortly after office got a manslaughter charge for killing a motorist. Otherwise it's a mix of failing to report (or taking) gifts, campaign finance violations, and lower-level bribery/extortion.

Most of the ones who didn't go to prison either had to pay something back and/or were put on probation. One guy was pardoned by Obama.
