The movie gets attributed as "feminist" because it was directed by a woman and because the original script was written by a feminist. But the shooting script was changed to take out most of the parody elements of it and it was directed in a way that completely downplayed those elements. So if you look at something that's supposedly feminist with a female writer and a female director and it's indistinguishable from a ****ty slasher film of the time period, how can you make an argument that it's feminist? --- ...
