It's not uncommon for the female friend trying to play Cupid to set you up with another friend who's also having trouble finding a match. And a lot of times that trouble is that the other friend is annoyingly awkward/distinctly unattractive/toxic as fuck/all of the above...basically someone who's single for a reason. It's even a little more insulting when your backstabbing friend is trying to hitch you up with their awkward foreveralone BFF in her clique and is basically just using you as a convenient male sacrifice to end the other woman's single status. Yeah some of them do actually pull that shit...

Just like men can often be poor judges of what a woman wants, the same can be said about women looking to set up their male friends. Most innately lack the insight into what different types of men prioritize in partners, including how those priorities can change between looking for hook ups and long term.

Take it from a typical gay guy who had to frequently explain to my gal pals why a biological woman who identifies as non-binary does not make her compatible with a generic homosexual male...
