That dude said wolf. Clean your ears

And yeah nobody has ever said woof.

I wonder if you literally can't perceive the sound difference. Possible you did not develop the phonemes and that is the cause of this????

Yeah, sorry but no. Try again. Also you clearly don't know what the fuck a phoneme is.

No, I do. There is a critical period during human development that allows them to perceive sounds. There is a reason why some persons who grew up only speaking chinese can't perceive the difference between an r and l sound.

The Critical Period is a hypothesis that mostly relates to an individual's ability to acquire a native-like accent and the deep structure of a language, it has nothing to do with being able to perceive sounds. The difficulty in distinguishing between /r/ and /l/ has to do with them both being alveolar sounds (respectively a tap and an approximant) and one or the other not being part of the L1's phonemic inventory. It has nothing to do with the Critical Period or "not developed phonemes."

So yeah, try again.

Except it does relate to perceiving sounds. Both people hear the same thing but interactions between Wernickes and the temporal lobe lead to differences in perception. You are literally wrong lol

Edit: I like your edit to add stay in your lane. that's a good one
