The gay guy is practically irrelevant to this whole thing, this isn't about the victim, it could have been anyone calling out the bully. It's not about "owing" anybody anything, certainly not "closure". This is about calling out a hypocrite. There aren't many nice ways to do it, sorry. Hey, you're a fucking hypocrite. Is it ugly? Yeah it's ugly, sorry it ruins your beautiful moment or whatever, but yeah, I guess it does. It fucking should. But if the bully actually changed then something positive can still come out of it.
