Why hasnt your dad gone back Well for most of my teenage years they were part owners of a variety store and if he wasnt there the store wouldn't be open essentially and we needed the income. We couldn't afford to take 2 weeks off i guess. A few years ago he had a big medical scare and doesnt work much now, and honestly they are still not well off. I lost a little sympathy here with age as I realized they do a lot of things the wrong way and its not an ignorance issue. Things like avoiding paying income tax as well as complete irresponsibility with their money but that's a whole different can of worms Also my fathers family came over with them back in the early 70s. Both his parents died here as well as my one uncle committing suicide a few years ago so all he has left is his sister. He misses the memories of Korea but i honestly dont know if he truly wants to go back anymore. My mother has family there still and a brother in Japan ... Copied to Clipboard! |
