Ouroboros, the Gnomes, and then Vita and whatever helpers she referred to. I'm guessing the Gnomes hired Zephyr and Ouroboros and the Gnomes are fighting over Phantasmal Blaze because ???. Osborne should be tied in here and on the Gnomes side if I'm right because he "has" Phantasmal Blaze whatever that means. ...Unless Osborne is separate from all this? It's hard to imagine he's seen as irrelevant to Ouroboros at least... unless that's what Vita lost the vote on? Not sure what Vita's game is. She says she's still loyal to the Grandmaster but apparently she's so opposed to whatever the other Anguis decided that she stormed out. It almost sounds like she's running an investigation of some kind what with her apparently checking out Spirit Shrines and dealing with the Scarlet Pleroma Grass but who knows. Pretty sure that Zombie Crow doesn't remember he's Crow or else he was an ice cold triple agent who just ignored the fact that he knew like 80% of the people at the tower. McBurn pretty much confirms it as Crow (if the voice, weapons, and Ordine wasn't enough) even if Class VII is still in the "IMPOSSIBLE!" phase and tbqh McBurn is like the best source of honest insight of wtf is going on with these things when he cares to talk about them so I trust his read. As for Vita's "oh btw guys the world is ending" thing that's... interesting. I feel like the "ending she tried to change" is the Valimar v Ordine fight in CS2's Infernal Castle and/or tied in with her "Divine Knights keep happening, history in Erebonia is basically a loop" speech. If you combine those with Valimar's comments and the War of the Lions history I think you get something like "Valimar (with Dreichels) won at Heimdallr and the Infernal Castle to win the war" and maybe Vita was trying to knock the loop off-script with an Ordine win? But there has to be more to it because the outcome of the fight didn't phase her or Phantasmal Blaze it seems. also praise arianrhod for giving us the most information on phantasmal blaze in 3 games even if it's still like nothing. The impression I was getting at the end of Chapter 1 was that Shirley and Duvalie were trying to start a big enough fight prior to starting up the Aion with all the "Is this enough maybe?" kinda talk. Chapter 2 seems to play kinda similar where I got the impression that they were kinda sorta hoping but not really expecting that the fight with Demon McBurn would get get crazier. Campanella starts going "Well, guess we'll need Vita or-" before he gets cut off by New Class VII. OTOH it seems they can start the Aions either way? Arianrhod mentions seeing if a vessel can gain power through combat. I think the simplest answer is the Aions... but I'm guessing these two attempts have failed and what they're hoping for is the Aion going SSJ or something? Maybe back to Sept-Terrion backed levels.
