| Topic | Box Office Disappointment: Is Terminator done? (MAJOR SPOILERS posted freely) |
| Zero_Destroyer 11/02/19 10:22:20 PM #30: | i unwittingly saw it today because i got the wrong showtimes for The Lighthouse and had to wait ~3 hours I thought it was fine. Didn't grow up with The Terminator so I don't really care that they killed John Connor. Obviously after three sequels focusing on him wasn't working they decided to go "fuck it" in an entirely different direction. The actual problem I had with the movie was the editing. I thought the script/performances were fine, the characters made sense, and since it treated them with some level of care outside of the opening twist (unlike, say, TLJ) it ended up giving the characters what felt like complete arcs. My outsider status on the franchise is probably why I don't feel that strongly about it. The Lighthouse was obviously way better lmao --- Enjoy movies and television? Check out my blog!
