There is a huge chasm on the right between the Bible thumpers and the generally agnostic pro-business types, but you'd never see them turning on each other like in this article. The groups just typically leave each other alone as just team up on election day. Although you didn't intend it that way, you just wonderfully summarised everything I am critical about the right over to begin with. Imagine fundamentally disagreeing with someone's entire principles right down to your most principally held beliefs, but not standing up to them ever - in fact teaming up with them and helping them along the way - because you want to win elections.
