I know where I live we still rely on traditional energy resources. No effort has been made to wean or transition to something different that is better so it leaves me to wonder what about the rest of the country. You'd be surprised how far solar panels can go even in the cloudier parts of the country. It will be more of a challenge to install the batteries needed to power everything at night when there is no sunshine, but it is doable. Wind/nuclear are good too.
